Taiwan Lecture Café Series 2021 - in the framework of the agreement of the Taiwan Studies Programme (Taiwan Chair)
(18-10-2021) The three EU partners that are involved in this Taiwan Chair decided to jointly organize a series of 6 online lectures by the Taiwan Chair holders.
In 2016, Ghent University, the University of Göttingen and the University of Groningen signed the “Taiwan Studies Programme” agreement with the Department of International and Cross-Strait Relations of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. (three out of four partner of the regional U4 Network in Europe). For the past 5 years, this Taiwan chair rotated between the three EU universities and interesting courses about the relations between the EU and East-Asia, with a special focus on the role of Taiwan, were organized by Taiwanese professors, that were selected in the framework of the annual calls of this agreement and came to these three partner universities to give lectures.
As this first agreement of the Taiwan Studies Programme is coming to an end soon, the three EU partners that are involved in this Taiwan Chair decided to jointly organize a series of 6 online lectures by the Taiwan Chair holders who were selected in the framework of this Taiwan Chair agreement during the past five years.
This series of lectures, titled the Taiwan Lecture Café Series 2021, will take place on the following dates:
- Wednesday 27 October: 11:30-13:00 (CET)
- Wednesday 3 November: 11:30-13:00 (CET)
- Wednesday 10 November: 11:30-13:00 (CET)
- Wednesday 17 November: 11:30-13:00 (CET)
- Wednesday 24 November: 11:30-13:00 (CET)
- Tuesday 30 November: 10:00-11:30 (CET)
