Graduation ceremony 2021-2022

The official graduation ceremony of 2021-2022 will take place on Sunday October 16, 2022 for all students who graduate this academic year (February, July and September).

All students will receive an invitation by post by the end of August. Students abroad will receive a digital invitation. At that time you will be able to register for your session of the graduation ceremony. Don't forget: registration is mandatory!

There will be three graduation ceremonies. Please find the timetable below. Each graduate is allowed to bring a maximum of three invitees. (Note: Subject to the measures in place against the spread of the coronavirus at the time of the graduation). Only registered guests will be admitted to the event. There will be a livestream of the graduation ceremony for family and friends who would like to join from home. The link to the livestream can be found on this page on the day of the graduation. During the ceremony we will also take pictures. Afterwards you will be able to find the pictures and the recordings here.

Membership Alumni Association AIG

AIG-Engage, the association for young engineers, graduated from our faculty, kindly invites you to become a member. Engage offers young engineers a varied range of activities such as sports, interesting lectures, culture and parties. All this is possible because Engage acts as an umbrella organization: it bundles its own activities, AIG events and activities of all student associations associated with our faculty (e.g. VTK, Hermes, CenEka, MaChT, PKarus, Poutrix and BEAM) in one well-organized package. This way you can keep in touch with your classmates. Moreover, via Engage you are also a member of Alumni UGent, so you can continue to enjoy the student restaurants and the GUSB sport facilities at a reduced rate, and you will receive the UGent magazine delivered to your home. More information and registration via this link.

You will not receive your diploma during the official graduation ceremony. Instead, we will send your diploma to your home address a few weeks after the examination results are known.

The link to watch the livestream will be available shortly before the start of the graduation ceremony.
